GWDT is a long established family company dating back over 100 years.

The roots of the company are firmly in the building industry and a company founded by Joseph Ford. In 1889, due to expansion, a section of the family moved from the original business establishment in Lambeth to Kingston upon Thames. Today the Ford name is highly respected in the industry for the for the renovation and preservation of buildings in and around London.

The company was started by brothers John and Richard Ford, who are acknowedged experts in the treatment of damp, timber infestation and dry rot.  This, together with their sound knowledge of the building trade, makes them leaders in the field of remedial treatment of property. In addition to private customers, the company carries out work for various councils in Greater London, the Department of Environment, housing associations and the Church Commissioners.
